First Day: Arrival and Relaxation
Afternoon: Settle into your CABN Hahndorf cabin, unpack, and unwind. Then, walk through The Cedars and follow the Heysen Artists Walk. Be back by 5 p.m. and follow the trail to our communal “conversation” fire pit. Bring your own firewood, drinks, and meet some of your neighbours.
Dinner: Head to the Stanley Bridge Tavern for a classic meal. Grab a bottle of wine from their premium bottle shop and return to your CABN to enjoy your fire pit under the stars.
Second Day: Explore the Region
Morning: Have a sleep-in and then enjoy a walk to The Cedars to explore Hans Heysen’s historic home, which is just minutes from your CABN, followed by morning tea or lunch at The Cedars Café or back to your CABN with your pre-ordered breakfast hamper to cook yourself.
Afternoon: Wander through Hahndorf Main Street, where you can visit shops, galleries, and Beerenberg Farm for a light lunch and pick up some local jams and condiments. Stop by The Farm Barn (for big kids as well!)
Dinner: Dinner back on Main Street at The Haus Restaurant or The German Arms, a local favourite!
Third Day: Wine and Nature
Morning: Enjoy breakfast at Fourth Hill Providore, and start your day with a relaxing bike ride around the region with BikeAbout tours. Visit the Jurlique Farm for a unique skincare experience.
Afternoon: Visit Shaw + Smith Winery for a wine-tasting experience and a gin flight at Ambleside Distillers. Then, go to Grunthal Brew for a wood-oven pizza and pick up some Udder Delights cheeses. Sneak in another tasting at Sidewood Estate before heading to dinner.
Dinner: Visit Hahndorf Fruit and Veg Market to pick up fresh produce for a BBQ dinner at your CABN, then unwind for a peaceful night under the stars.
Fourth Day: Check-out
Enjoy a final coffee at Fourth Hill Providore, and grab some of their delicious pastries to take with you before checking out at 10 am and heading home to rejuvenate.
