Only a forty minute drive south of Adelaide and with so much to do, the Fleurieu Peninsula – home to the McLaren Vale wine region – is arguably the most accessible and diverse region in South Australia. The wine is outstanding (and 80 cellar doors to choose from!) and the coastline and beaches are spectacular any time of the year. There are national parks and native forest reserves that are begging you to get lost into nature.
